The Introductory Sports Process Can Be Frustrating

As a parent, the introductory sports process can sometimes be frustrating.  Try not to let your frustration lead to your children's discouragement, or worse, their outright resentment of sports.

Early learners in sports will likely never paint the picture we have in our minds about sports.  It is alright to get swept up into mainstream competitive sports but important not to lead you to correcting what is, otherwise, just normal behavior immature behaviors of young children.  As the old saying goes, there will be plenty of time for them to grow up.  It is when we force early learners to lose their identity within a sport's process that children can quickly become resentful.

Avoid discouraging your child by keeping things in perspective.  For early learners, this is best done by keeping sports simple and make learning fun.
